Source and coverage

777 Sourcing publishes 29 currencies from the European Central Bank euro foreign exchange reference-rate dataset.

Publication timing

The ECB normally publishes reference rates around 16:00 CET on working days other than TARGET closing days.

Calculation

ECB source observations are stored as foreign-currency units per euro. USD and other cross rates are calculated from observations sharing the same reference date. If R_A and R_B are ECB rates per euro, A/B equals R_B divided by R_A.

Use and limitation

These values are for information and sourcing analysis. They are not live, executable, or transaction prices. The ECB strongly discourages transaction use of its reference rates.
