Hale Family Farm is a family farm in Farmington, Missouri, about 70 miles south of St. Louis, growing clean, healthy food using environmentally responsible methods. Started by William and Edna Hale in the 1940's raising cattle and crops, it was later transformed by Ron Hale, who experimented with organic produce and grew 'pampered tomatoes' and co-founded the Farmington Farmer's Market. Ron's children now continue the legacy.

Hinterland Dairy is a farmstead cheese operation in Donnellson, Iowa, owned by the Krogmeier family, who began milking cows in southeast Iowa in 1978. The farm sits on 400 acres of pastures, row-crop fields and hay fields, and all forages for the 140 milk cows are grown on the farm. Cheese is made weekly on the dairy farm using only farm-fresh milk from the family's own herd, hand-crafted and hand-packaged, with a farm store open to visitors.
