protoCAD Corp, established in 1993 and still based in La Plata, Maryland, provides personalized design engineering, 3D printing and urethane casting services nationwide to companies and government facilities. The two owners are mechanical engineers who founded the firm to give engineers rapid prototyping support: vacuum cast rigid and flexible urethane and silicone parts, stereolithography and selective laser sintering, potting of electronics, and full product development from CREO CAD modeling through tool-ready documentation.
