Advanced Chemical Sensors (ACS) was founded in 1976 by Laurence D. Locker (Ph.D., MIT) to develop better methods to measure employee exposure to toxic vapors regulated by U.S. occupational safety laws. ACS offers passive chemical monitoring badges that use a solid adsorbent with a porous membrane to collect vapor, and an accredited laboratory analyzes returned badges with a 48 to 72 hour turnaround. The laboratory is accredited by AIHA LAP, LLC, NYS-DOH ELAP, and ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
