BioMEMS Diagnostics was founded in April 2022 to make laboratory-type testing portable. It is developing a diagnostic platform consisting of a single-use test cartridge, a handheld analyzer and a connected app, designed to bring laboratory-type testing to the point of need. The cartridge centers on a patent-pending biosensor chip with twelve wells that can run up to ten different tests from a single sample. The company is privately held, headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
