environmental control unit (ECU) development

Accessibility Services, Inc. (ASI) develops the autonoME, an environmental control unit (ECU) and speech-generating augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system for people with severe disabilities such as ALS, spinal cord injuries, MS, and quadriplegia. The autonoME lets users control hospital beds, nurse call, lighting, televisions, telephones, and blinds, and communicate via AAC, using touch, voice, sip-and-puff, eye gaze, head tracking, or switch scanning.
