The Biotechnology Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (Biotechnologický ústav AV ČR) is a scientific research institute based at the BIOCEV center in Vestec. Its researchers study topics such as mitochondrial horizontal transfer, plant embryo chromosome elimination, extracellular vesicles in sperm maturation, bee disease prevention, and the use of artificial intelligence in research.
