Asawana Farms is a Southern Cameroonian/Ambazonian farm growing specialty vegetables in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Founded to provide fresh, organic vegetables to residents of Prince George's County, it also serves as a practical research hub for Food as Medicine, offering volunteering and educational programs where children, students, and adults learn to grow their own organic food. The farm connects the African American community to the motherland through food, indigenous knowledge, and farming, and works to reduce food deserts.
