Asahi Spectra Co., Ltd. (ASC) was founded in 1970 in Tokyo, Japan by 3 engineers. ASC develops vacuum deposition technologies such as ion assisted deposition (IAD) and ion beam sputtering (IBS) that achieve hard coating, durability against humidity, temperature extremes, thermal shock and vacuum, and stable spectral performance. Its optical filters serve markets including astronomy, semiconductor, biotechnology and education, and it also offers optical instruments based on 50 years of optical know-how.
