Akervall Technologies Inc. (ATI) was founded in 2009 by ENT surgeon Jan Akervall and chemical engineer Johannes Schwank. The company develops protective mouthguard technology and manufactures products including the SISU Mouthguard for sports and the SOVA Night Guard for night grinding, along with teeth whitening kits and intubation protection products. ATI operates a plant in Saline, Michigan, employs 27 people (4 in Sweden), and distributes mouthguards worldwide.
