Free price intelligence

What materials and manufacturing inputs actually cost.

Public price indexes behind the quotes a buyer receives: steel, aluminum, copper, resins, diesel, natural gas, freight, machinery, and labor. Every index is registered with its public source; dated values will be linked back to that source as the refresh job populates them.

How to read this page

Producer Price Indexes measure what producers charge, not spot market prices: they move more slowly and are the right benchmark for contract negotiations. Exchange settlements for steel, aluminum, and copper are spot benchmarks and move daily.

What this page is not: an assessed price for a specific grade, or a certified should-cost for an engineered part. It is the honest, public trend line, the right first check before any negotiation. Each index names its source so it can be checked independently.

Built for buyers who negotiate. When a supplier cites material increases, this will be the check against the claim once values populate. Free forever.
